TIMELINE&HISTORY

1944 Incorporated as Nakayo Tsushinnki Seisakusho (Communications Works) Co., Ltd. in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo.
1958 Awarded the Deming Application Prize for Small and Medium Enterprises.
1963 Maebashi Plant commenced operation.
1967 Became an integrated telephone manufacturer.
1969 Established an Associated Sales and Installation Company, Nakayo Densetsu (Electrical Installation) Co., Ltd.
1971 Delivered electronic switching equipment for the first time to NTT (the Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Public Corporation).
1973 Numata Plant commenced operation. Established sales offices in Osaka, Hiroshima and Kumamoto.
1974 Changed the company name to Nakayo Telecommunications, Inc. Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (2nd Section).
Established an associated company, Maebashi Shoko, Inc.
1976 Established Nagoya sales office.
1977 Reorganized Nakayo Densetsu and Kansai Nakayo Densetsu into a new company, Nakayo Electronics Co., Ltd.
1979 Established Yokohama sales office.
1980 NAKAYO's computer-controlled electronic PABX equipment was designated by NTT as Japan's first version of that kind.
1981 Established a liaison office in Singapore.
1982 Established Shibuya Corporate Business Division.
1983 Increased capital to 1,513,075,000 yen.
Established Corporate Engineering Division. Established Nakayo U.S.A. Inc. in New York.
1984 Gunma Plant commenced operation. Established branch offices in Omiya, Shizuoka and Kanazawa.
Increased capital to 4,909,075,000 yen.
1985 Moved the head office to Shibuya-ku Tokyo.
1991 KITANIHON Operation Center opened.
1995 Certified ISO9001 compliant by JAPAN QUALITY ASSURANCE ORGANIZATION (JQA)
1996 Opened NAKAYO HOME PAGE on Internet
1998 Certified ISO14001 compliant by Japan Audit Certification Organization for Environment and Quality (JACO)
1999 Established an office in Osaka. Established a branch office in Takasaki.
2000 Established HONG KONG NAKAYO CO., LTD in Hong Kong.
2005 Listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange on March 1st., 2005.
